Our mix has fresh and crisp leaves that are slightly bitter. In Nice, “lou mesclun” is simply a must for the meal to be considered complete. This type of mix was originally grown by and described in the dialect of Franciscan monks. It traditionally includes arugula, endive, lettuce, buckhorn plantain, and oak-leaf salad.
Cutting lettuce lettuce is an annual plant that has moderate needs for water, sunlight, and fertilization. It grows in all types of soil.
Sow the seeds directly into the ground from mid-March to mid-September at a depth of 0.3 cm. Space the rows 15 cm apart and leave 1 cm between each seed in the row. Expect 2-3 harvests per sowing.
