This French variety comes from the Loire Valley. It brings beautiful, compact heads to your garden. The bottom is flat, firm and healthy. Thanks to its high resistance to many pests and pathogens, it is perfect for commercial growers. It sells very well in farmers’ markets. Precision seed directly into the field for beautiful, full rows. High resistance (HR) to Bremia (Bl:16–35EU), Lettuce Leaf Aphids (Nr:0), and intermediate resistance (IR) to Lettuce Mosaic Virus (LMV:1).
Sow from March to April in seedling trays. Transplant seedlings into the open field from April to May at a distance of 30 ✕ 30 cm. For autumn crops, sow in July. Lettuce responds well to mature compost and regular irrigation. Intercropping with other vegetables works exceptionally well.
