The bush bean "Purple Queen"
is an early harvesting variety, only 60 days after sowing. The purple pods are 14-16 cm long and contain a brown, 8-10 mm bean with a tender, slightly buttery flavor. This stringless variety is productive and easy to pick.
Sowing from middle of May to middle of July in rows (40-50cm distance). Plant a single corn every 5-8cm at a depth of about 1cm. “Beans have to hear the bells ring'”. Later rake and lightly earth up twice. Beans stand well in the presence of beets, leek, celery and radish. Tip: Let the seeds swell for 12 hours in lukewarm chamomile tea before sowing.
