Stevia "Sugar Sweet" is a remarkable variety that offers a natural, calorie-free alternative to traditional sugar. Its lush green leaves are a source of sweetness, ideal for sweetening drinks, pastries and a variety of dishes. Harvesting is abundant, from May to September. The plant can reach a height of 80 cm.
Stevia "Sugar sweet" is resilient and prefers rich, well-drained soil. It has a preference for sunny locations, but can also tolerate partial shade. Stevia is also resistant to most pests and diseases, making it easy to care for once well established.
To get started, sow stevia seeds in pots from mid-April to mid-May on the surface. The ideal germination temperature is between 15°C and 25°C. Six weeks after sowing, plant the young plants in the ground or in pots, leaving a space of 20 x 40 cm between plants.
