This time-tested strain from the old country blooms violet and gives high yields. The harvest season is long and drawn out which brings the reward of quality pods. Its height reaches 250 cm!
Sow from mid-October to mid-November in lines 60 cm apart, or every 60 cm in circles with 8–10 seeds per circle. Seeds should be 5 cm deep. Layout the plot with two rows per bed. Plants overwinter in the juvenile stage. In the springtime, place a 250 cm stake in the centre of each circle for support. Heavy or overly wet soils are unsuitable for this pea. The harvest begins in late May and lasts until the end of July.
