This oak-leaf lettuce is incredibly crisp. It is fresh and rich in flavour. The red and green coloured undulating leaves are characterized by full and thick growth. It bolts late also. It is robust and healthy - ideal for home gardens and market gardeners.
The seeds are coated with a thin layer of terracotta, making them larger and more visible. Sowing coated seeds is much easier, be it in the vegetable garden or in professional production.
Sow from March to August in seedling trays. Transplant in late April and onwards at a distance of 30 ✕ 30 cm in the open field. Lettuce responds well to mature compost and regular watering. Intercrop with other vegetables for efficiency and variety.
