This sweet, early, crisp variety leaves no dream unfulfilled. Tip Top is a classic among spring carrots. Compared to other varieties, it towers over them in terms of flavour. This trait gives it its rightful place at in vivo germ plasm stocks. Instead of cryogenic preservation in a gene bank, it can regain its place in gardens and plates of vegetable connoisseurs.
Sow seeds from March and then again in July in rows with 30 cm spacing. Keep rows week free by constant weeding. Do not add fresh compost. Cover beds with netting to protect against carrot fly for July crops. Carrots intercrop very well with onions to maximize garden space.
