This heirloom crop from the old country produced fiber and oil. The very pretty, petite plant daily blooms small blue flowers. Blooming occurs from June to September. Height reaches 1 metre.
For seed production, sow seeds in early April into tightly spaced rows 10 cm apart. It may need to be tied up to support strings or trellising. Harvest from September to October. Sowing as an ornamental plant in June is possible.
