This vegetable is trending right now. The fleshy stalks have a sharp, pleasant taste and are high in vitamin C. These are great for the standby uses of chopping into mixed salads or dipping, but also turn out well as steamed vegetables.
Begin sowing From March to April in seedling tray in a warm place. Ensure frost-free culture conditions. Transplant to the open field from May 20 at 40 ✕ 30 cm spacing. Use only mature compost. Harvest by cutting the outer stalks and leaving the centre ones (like for chard), or cut the whole plant at once.
